Festival of the Lion King is a limited-time attraction released with Lion King Event, Jungle Book Update on 5th July 2017. It is unlocked during the Regal Reinforcements quest when Timon is Level 4.
About
Festival of the Lion King is a live stage musical performed at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World and in Adventureland in Hong Kong Disneyland. The show itself, rather than being a condensed story of Disney's 1994 animated motion picture The Lion King, depicts a tribal celebration through song, dance, puppetry, stunts, and visual effects. It features all five songs in the original film, as well as appearances by Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, and a horde of other residents of the African savanna.
The appearance of the attraction as it appears in Disney Magic Kingdoms is based off of the design of Pride Rock, an ancient and massive rock formation in The Lion King that serves as the seat of power for the Lion King and his lionesses. It could be seen from everywhere in the Pride Lands and similarly has a view of the whole kingdom from its peak.
