Merlin's Spell Book is a feature officially introduced to the game with The Sword in the Stone Update on 15th November 2023 but available since Beauty and the Beast Event, Chip and Dale Update on 8th March 2017.
About[]
Originally, Merlin's Spells unlocked as you leveled up Merlin. At that time Merlin was the only character in a collection that is not playable character, but rather a utility character, and was therefore only intended for that. When he lost his Non-Playable Character status, his spells migrated to this new functionality.

The "Gathering Spell" activity collectible changed from Buildings Only to Buildings and Character Repeatable Activities with Mulan Part 4 Update on 6th February 2024.- The "Find a Chest" activity cost changed from
200 to 400 with The Sword in the Stone Update on 15th November 2023. - The activities "Happiness Enchantment" and "Happiness Safeguard" were removed with The Rescuers Part 2 Update on 12th July 2022.
